The project aimed to restore the pub to its former glory within a challenging five-week timeframe. The specific tasks included retaining 60% of the rafters, 50% of the plate, and 100% of the tiles. Luckily, the ground floor was unharmed and deemed safe, so remained operational throughout the restoration. In this case as with all others, strict adherence to health and safety standards was essential.
