Following complaints of moisture ingress and ongoing discoloration of internal finishes and decoration to the interior of their property on this 3 year old housing development, as their recently appointed framework contractor Radian appointed us to investigate, determine the cause and undertake suitable remedial repairs to address the problem.
Through our building surveying team we identified what we believed to be too root of the problem, we subsequently undertook localised opening up of the external brickworks and confirmed that cavity trays were breached and cavity penetrations poorly designed or protected from moisture ingress. We cleared out congested cavities and where practical re-introduced more robust tray detailing.
This quickly and conclusively arrested the water ingress issue for the occupier.
