Buried in Somerset is a lovely hidden gem that came to us for help with their function room and the roof over it. A popular wedding venue, this family run business grew tired of constant patch repairs. They decided to call us in to completely cut out the problem and start fresh with a new flat roof.
Their flat roof was battered and beaten by poor weather over the years and had developed several problems. We started by cutting back all flora to allow safe access and egress. Then, we got to work removing perimeter ridge/flashing, old bituminous roof covering, and the old timber roof covering.
After this we were able to make a start on the new installations. We added a new plywood covering to BSEM365 WBP BB/BB, which is exterior grade plywood. As well as that, we installed new Euroclad Elite vapour control layer and Kingspan Thermaroof TR31 plywood backed insulation. Finally, we added three new layers of bitumen felt covering to BS EN 13707, and new powder coated metal ridges. With that, the roof was finished.

After that, we were able to focus on the function room itself. It was in desperate need of a modern refresh, plus damage from the roofing problems was prevalent and needed to be fixed. We stuck around to do exactly that.
The parts of the ceiling which needed to be patched were promptly delt with and painted over while the carpet was ripped up. Any damage to the walls and floor was also put right, and a lick of paint followed. Finally, we laid down under lay, then installed the new flooring, pattern matching as we went.
